Instagram is FINALLY cracking down on dangerous diet ads
We’ve all seen the magic shakes, teas, and powders advertised on Instagram by the Kardashians and influencers.
Now while most people on some level know that Kim claiming a lollipop is helped her lose weight is most likely BS..tons of people actually BUY these products.
AND the problem is, a lot of them are totally shady..and these ads target people of ALL ages.
Promoting non-FDA-approved diet pills, teas, and shakes was called into question by body positivity advocates like The Good Place’s Jameela Jamil, and licensed dietitians. Jameela actually spearheaded a petition entitled, Stop celebrities promoting toxic diet products on social media, and it received a whopping 240,000 signatures.
