Injectable Medications and intraurethral therapy for ED

First line treatment of Erectile dysfunction include oral medications such as viagra, Cialis, levitra and Stendra. When oral medications do not help, injectable medications and intraurethral therapy can be considered. Caverject, Caverject Impulse, Edex, Bimix, Trimix and Quadmix are injectables which can improve blood flow to the penis and enhance erection. All the injectable medications require Intracavernosal Injection. Specifically, the treatment involves the injection at the sides of the penis. MUSE® (Medicated Urethral System for Erections) intraurethral therapy does not require Injection. It involves the delivery of prostaglandin E1 suppository into the urethra.
