Mrs Massandjé Toure-Litse holds an MBA in International Finance from George Washington University, USA, obtained in 1988. She began her professional career with the World Bank in Washington DC prior to her return to Cote d’Ivoire where she worked both in the private sector (banking and telecommunications) and public sector. She was Technical Adviser on economic and finance matters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and later the Prime Minister.
Mrs Toure-Litse’s joined the coffee-cocoa sector in 2009 serving as Chair of the Coffee-Cocoa Sector Management Committee (CGFCC) where she spearheaded a sector reform in November 2011, which led to the creation of the Coffee-Cocoa Board in 2012.
From April 2012 to July 2017, she was Managing Director of the Coffee-Cocoa Board, the only regulatory organ for the stabilisation and development of the sector in Cote d’Ivoire.
She served as Director of International Cooperation and Partnership in Cote d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Rice Development from April 2020 to April 2021.
Mrs Massandjé Toure-Litse comes to ECOWAS with a rich and vast experience that cuts across her country’s public and private sector as well as international organisations.
