Mr. William Baidoe-Ansah BAIDOE is the Director for the ECOWAS Directorate of Mining & Geo-extractives Development under the Energy & Mines Department. He was born on the 26 September 1966 in Ghana.
In his capacity as the Director of the Mining and Geo-extractives Directorate, Mr. Baidoe-Ansah is responsible for the design and execution of geo-extractives sector policies, programs and projects, and the coordination of mineral resources activities in Member States. He also participates in institutional programs and projects formulation, specialized technical meetings, as well as monitoring & evaluation activities within the Directorate
In addition to his technical role, Mr. Baidoe-Ansah takes administrative responsibilities which include making proposals to improve the work program of the directorate and department, preparation of annual medium-term activities and budgets, and a general scope to monitor the dynamics within the geo-extractives sector and carrying out other duties that falls within the purview of the Department.
He holds a Master of Development Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and University of Ghana, where he specialized in private sector development and management. He also holds Master of Science and Diploma of Imperial College in Applied Structural Geology and Rock Mechanics from Imperial College, University of London.
Earlier he had obtained a Bachelor of Science, Honors Degree, in Geology with chemistry from University of Ghana. All these are in addition to extensive management development training received over many years of practice.
Highly qualified Geo-extractives sector specialist, Mr. Baidoe-Ansah has special Interests in the areas of Philosophy, Psychology, Business Investment, Technology Developments and Space Exploration activities.
