New ambassadors undertake to strengthen their countries’ cooperation with ECOWAS

Abuja, 28 February 2019. Four new ambassadors presented their letters of credence to the President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission, Jean-Claude Kassi Brou, at the institution’s headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria, on Wednesday 27 February 2019.

The ambassadors were H.E Maria Saranti (Greece), H.E Siaka Cissoko (Guinea), H.E Georg Steiner (Switzerland) and H.E Daniel Dargent (Kingdom of Belgium).

While receiving their letters of credence, Mr Brou congratulated them on their appointment and assured them of his support in the success of their mission.

He reviewed the state of relations between ECOWAS and their respective countries, and called for new initiatives that will strengthen their cooperation in support of West African economic integration.
