ROLE OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Centre (EYSDC) Director, the incumbent will identify and interact with potential EYSDC partners; undertake resource mobilization for the EYSDC; develop conventions and agreements with partners; promote the diversity of EYSDC programmes; monitor the progress of programme implementation and engage in programme evaluation; audit the proper use of funds allocated by the donors; take part in meetings / congresses for the mobilization of resources.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise line supervisor on all strategic partnership and resource mobilization matters requiring their attention.
· Facilitate the design of a resource mobilization programme on behalf of the ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Centre (EYSDC). · Seek new partners to assist in the implementation of EYSDC programmes · Assist in the development of agreements between the partners and the ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Centre (EYSDC).· Promote the diversity of programmes at meetings / fora to which the ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Centre (EYSDC) would be invited and prepare appropriate brochures in collaboration with the relevant programme and communications officers to inform potential partners / donors about the programmes of the Center. · Monitor the progress of programme implementation and be actively involved in evaluating the success or failure of country programmes. · Monitor the use of funds allocated by donors to ensure that they have been properly used according to ECOWAS procedures and the terms of agreements signed with the concerned donors.· Undertake any other duty assigned by the superiors.ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Statistics, Economics, Political Science, or any social sciences from a recognized University.
· 5 years of relevant experience in implementation of strategic plans, resources mobilization, partnership building, management.
· Demonstrated knowledge of planning, monitoring & evaluation with the Results-Based Management approach.
· Knowledge of rules, policies and guidelines of partners and member States.
· Proven experience in planning, monitoring & evaluation of programmes and projects.
· Professional technical knowledge/expertise in data analysis and collection.
· Previous work experience in a similar position in an international organization will be an added advantage.
