ECOWAS Financial Reporting and Grants Directorate staff in Discussion to Share Best Practices

The Directorate of Financial Reporting and Grants held a three (3) days Staff Retreat, from 9 to 11 July in Kano, Nigeria.

The objectives of the retreat centered around team building, collaboration and communications within the Directorate for better, efficient and effective performance.

During the opening ceremony, ECOWAS Commissioner for Internal Services, Professor Nazifi Abdullahi DARMA emphasized the importance of taking responsibility for procedures in their respective roles. He underlined the necessity of team management and strategic leadership at the management level, as well as the necessity of filling identified personnel gaps within the directorate.

Mr. Ahmadou Oury Baldé, Director of Financial Reporting and Grants for his part, encouraged staff participating in the retreat to be motivated and participate fully. He stated that this staff retreat will help to enhance collaboration and communication among the team to increase productivity in the work of the directorate.
