ECOWAS Presents Certificate To 2021/2022 Retiring Staff
08 Dec, 2022Abuja, December 6, 2022 – The management of the ECOWAS Commission has presented certificate of retirement to 2021/2022 staff retiring from the service of the Commission. The event which took place on Tuesday December 6, 2022 at the ECOWAS Auditorium, ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Asokoro, Abuja, had in attendance staff, family and invitees of the retirees.
In his goodwill message, the President of the ECOWAS Commission, H.E Dr. Omar Alieu Touray expressed happiness at hosting the 2021/2022 retiring staff members who have diligently served the community. He congratulated them on their individual achievements during their service who has in no small measure contributed to the success of the Commission. He urged them not to see retirement as a call to solitary life or tiredness but a path to a productive and healthy life. He wished a smooth, easy and joyful experience as they make preparation for the next phase of life telling them to continue to be worthy ambassador of the ECOWAS.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Commissioner for Internal Services, Prof. Nazifi Abdullahi Darma, thanked the senior colleagues for their utmost dedication and excellent service to the community. He encouraged them to see retirement with sound mind as another chapter of service delivery to their families, communities, and nations. He praised them for having contributed to the growth and development of the sub-region and wished them best retirement ever.
