ECOWAS Accredits Ambassadors of Israel and Namibia

Abuja, 31st July 2019. The President of the ECOWAS Commission, H.E. Jean-Claude Kassi Brou received the letters of credence of H.E. Shimon Ben-Shosham, the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Humphrey Desmond Gieseb, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, today 31st July 2019 in Abuja, Nigeria.

President Brou discussed areas of existing and new cooperation with Israel. The ECOWAS Commission signed MoU with Israel in September 2009, which was reviewed in 2016 to include Agriculture, education, renewable energy, health, technology transfer. The new MoU is expected to be signed soon.

Namibia was accredited to ECOWAS for the first time. The High Commissioner discussed areas of cooperation with President Brou.
