Mrs. Kete Gills-Harry, Principal Program Officer for Career Management and Training, received the young visitors and delivered an engaging presentation on the history, achievements, and contributions of ECOWAS to regional integration, peace, and development in West Africa. Her interactive session provided the students with valuable insights into the role of ECOWAS in fostering unity and cooperation among member states.
As part of their visit, the students explored the ECOWAS Library, where they were gifted books highlighting the organization’s accomplishments, policies, and treaties. The gesture aimed to further enrich their understanding of ECOWAS’ mission and impact. The students also toured the Commission’s main building, including the iconic main conference hall, where key decisions shaping the region are made.
The visit served as a practical learning experience, complementing the students’ classroom studies on regional organizations and global cooperation.
